In this enchanting operatic adaptation of the classic fairy tale, Hansel and Gretel are two hungry children living in poverty with their broom-maker father and mother. Sent into the woods to gather strawberries, they become lost as night falls. Protected by angels as they sleep, they awaken to discover a magical house made entirely of sweets – a child's dream come true, or so it seems.

But this sugary paradise hides a dark secret: a wicked Witch who lures children into her gingerbread house to capture and eat them. Using their wits and courage, Hansel and Gretel must outsmart the Witch to save themselves and free other children from her evil spell. This timeless tale of bravery, loyalty, faith, and the triumph of good over evil is brought to life with beautiful music and captivating performances. Patrons can buy a "Package Offer," on the ticketing page for "Rusalka," which includes tickets to the next 3 Wichita Grand Opera shows at Century II. When you reach the ticketing page, please select the day you would like to buy tickets for in the "Special Package Offer" section. Pick your seats for "Rusalka" and pay for the package. When "Hansel and Gretel" goes on sale, we'll add the same seats you picked initially in your account automatically. Then, once "La Cenerentola" goes on sale, we'll automatically add the most comparable seats to your account again. All you have to do is buy your initial seats in the package, and we'll take care of the rest!
