United Way of the Plains has partnered with the City of Wichita to create a new initiative, 316 Day of Caring. The event name reflects both the area code, 316, where those who benefit and participate reside as well as the date abbreviation, 3/16.
There are 5 ways to participate:
🩸 Donate Blood with the American Red Cross
🍪 Support the Girl Scouts of Kansas and buy cookies
🧴 Donate hygiene items to Giving the Basics Wichita
🧤 Donate winter scarves, hats and mittens for our neighbors in need through the Salvation Army
🥫 Bring nonperishable foods to help restock the food pantry at the United Methodist Open Door
